Vanaf vandaag sta ik op dieet. Om mezelf te motiveren en wat bij te houden wat ik binnensmokkel, heb ik een dieetdagboekblog gemaakt. Je kan het hier vinden. Wat je ook denkt, deze blog blijft bestaan hoor!!!

Almost a year...

In een maand blog en borduur ik net een jaar, en daarom wil ik binnenkort een giveaway doen. Ik weet nog niet goed wat, hoe, hoeveel en hoe lang, maar kom binnenkort maar eens kijken.

In less then a month I blog and stitch almost a year, and there for I want to do a giveaway soon. I don't know what, how, how much and for how long yet, but come and check again soon.

Beautifull threads...

Ik heb deze hier al een week liggen, maar door werk en een dikke verkoudheid is het er nog niet van gekomen om een foto van te maken. Maar hier zijn ze dan, Nina's prachtige handgeverfde garens.

I have these here for almost a week now, but because of work and a big cold I haven't been able to make a picture of them. But here they are, Nina's wonderfull handdyed threads.

Fair Zwolle

Gisteren ben ik naar de handwerkbeurs in Zwolle geweest. Ik heb een aantal vriendinnen van de borduursite terug gezien en anderen voor het eerst gezien. En dit heb ik meegebracht...

Yesterday I went to the fair in Zwolle. I saw a few friends from the "Borduursite" again and some I saw for the first time. And this is what I brought with me...

Gratis gekregen bij aankoop bij Peddles en Cross Stitch Corner. Pakketje vind ik niet zo leuk, maar garen en stof zijn goed voor kaartjes. Het Borduurblad heb ik al, dus als er iemand hem graag wilt?

Dimensions Gold Collection borduurpakket met alles er in. Was net geen 40 euro en komt van Cross Stitch Corner. Dat is een Duitse standhouder, met een grote online winkel. Dit is m'n allereerste Dimensions.

Verschillende soorten linnens en evenweaves. Er zit zelfs 36 count bij. (En heb nog nooit echt kleiner geweest dan 28 count, en dan nog, 2 over 2, amai amai)

My first scissorsfob

Vandaag heb ik een scharenhangertje in elkaar geprutst. Het is m'n allereerste scharenhangertje ooit, en hopelijk het begin van een hele hoop. Het ontwerpje is gemaakt door Nina, het gratis patroontje is door haar gemaakt. Na lang prutsen heb ik het afgewerkt met een vlecht, ik vond niet hoe ik een cord moest maken en een slinger van houten hartjes.

Ik heb het patroontje twee keer gemaakt, voor de voor en achterkant, op linnen met linnen garen van DMC. Zo lijkt het zachter dan met het gewone mouline garen. Ik heb ook de kleuren wat veranderd, Nina had het in roze gemaakt, maar ik vind blauw net iets mooier.

Ik heb geen mooie schaartjes, dus hangt het maar aan m'n gewone schaar. Misschien ooit koop ik een paar mooie schaartjes.

Today I made a scissorsfob. It's my first one ever made, and hopefully the start of a lot. The design is made by Nina and is a freebie found on her blog. I didn't know how to make a cord, so instead I interlaced the threads to make a cord. At the end I added a string with wooden hearts.

I made the pattern twice, for both sides of the fob. I stitched it on linnen, with linnen threads from DMC. That way it looks a bit softer then the normal mouline threads. I also changed the colors a bit, Nina made it in pink, but I like blue a bit more.

I don't have any fancy scissors, so it's just on my normal scissors. Maybe sometime I buy some nice scissors.
