Bingo

Op "The Ultimate Cross Stitch Group" zijn 2 nieuwe challenges van start gegaan. De eerste is de algemene maand challenge, waar je een hele maand tijd heb om een bepaald aantal steken te halen. Voor de maand november moet je 3287 steken. Of ik dit haal weet ik niet, maar ik kan alleen maar mijn best doen.

De tweede challenge is al een paar dagen bezig maar ik moest dus een aantal dagen inhalen, dus krijg je vandaag van mij 4 dagen te zien. Deze challenge is een bingo, waar je dus elke dag een aantal steken opgelegd krijgt. Je hoeft ze niet de dag zelf te doen, maar je moet ze wel in volgorde doen. De laatste dag kan je dan inhalen. 

On "The Ultimate Cross Stitch Group" 2 new challenges have started. The first one is a general month one where you have a whole month the time to get a certain amount of stitches. For November the amount is set at 3287 stitches. If I will make it I don't know, but I can only do my best.

The second challenge is allready going for a few days, but I had to catch up on the first days so you get 4 days from me now. This challenge is a bingo where you need to do a certain amount of stitches each day. You don't have to do them the day itselves but you need to do them in order how they are given. The last day you can catch up. 

Dus dit zijn de eerste 4 dagen.

So these are the first 4 days.

Start

Dag 1: 125 steken
Day 1: 125 stitches

Dag 2: 190 steken

Day 2: 190 stitches

Dag 3: 75 steken

Day 3: 75 stitches

Dag 4: 160 steken

Day 4: 160 stitches

Je kan er meer borduren, maar die tellen dan niet mee, elke dag moet je vanaf 0 tellen. Dus als je 100 steken gedaan hebt en je moest er 75 dan tellen er maar 75. De overige 25 tellen ook niet voor de volgende dag. Maar ze tellen wel voor het maandtotaal.

You can stitch more, but they don't count. Everyday starts at 0. So if you did 100 stitches and you needed to do 75, only 75 will count. The other 25 don't count for the next day. But they do count for the monthly amount.

Op Facebook ben ik bij een groep gegaan die bijna altijd een soort van challenge heeft. Je krijgt er niks speciaals voor, behalve een badge maar in mijn geval motiveert het me wel om mijn borduurwerk op te nemen en een bepaalde aantal steken te doen.

De eerste challenge die ik mee gedaan heb was Stitch or Switch. Je kreeg 12 afbeeldingen en mocht er 2 uitkiezen. Achter elke afbeelding stond een nummer en die twee werden opgeteld. Dan kreeg je de keuze, ofwel Stitch ofwel Switch. Borduren of wisselen dus. Als je wisselt kon je minder steken krijgen, maar ook meer. Ik kreeg 750 steken en besloot om ze te borduren. 

On Facebook I joined a cross stitch group that does challenges all the time. You don't get anything special for them, besides a badge but it does motivate me to do a certain amount of stitches.

The first challenge I did was Sitch or Switch. You got 12 pictures and got to choose 2 of them. Behind every picture was a numbers and the two were added up. Then you got the choice, Stitch or Switch. You could switch and end up with a lower amount to stitch but you also got get a higher amount. I got 750 stitches and decided to stitch them.

Ik ben al bezig met de volgende challenge, maar daar moet ik een paar dagen inhalen.

Stash Challenge

Sjoukje toonde op haar blog haar stash, dus nu doe ik hetzelfde. Mijn tijdschriften en boeken en reservegaren ligt wel niet mee op de foto, zou anders te veel worden. En aangezien we geen grote tafel hebben, heb ik alles maar op m'n bed gelegd.

Sjoukje showed her stash on her blog and made a challenge of it, so here is mine. My magazines and books and extra thread aren't shown on the pictures, it would be too much. And we don't have a big table, so I placed it all on the bed.

Rechts zie je de werken waar ik aan bezig ben, de Summer Fairy en the Bottom of the Garden. De groene tas is m'n travel tas, daar zit alles in als ik weg ga en wil borduren. In het midden vind je patronen en een paar pakketten, maar ik weet nog niet wat ik wil gaan maken als de Summer Fairy af is.

Naast het stekenboek staat een doos met handgeverfd garen, het meeste is van Nina. De zwarte mand daarnaast is m'n stoffenmandje, waar m'n borduurstoffen zich in verstoppen en links heb je dan m'n dozen met borduurgaren.

At your right you can see the pieces I'm working on, the Summer Fairy and the Bottom of the Garden. The green bag is my travel bag, I put everything in there when I go out and want to stitch. In the middle are patterns and kits, but I don't know yet what to stitch when the Summer Fairy is finished.

Next to the book with stitches is a box with handdyed thread, most of it is Nina's. The black basket hides my fabrics. And at the left my boxes with threads are shown.
