More Witchy...

Terwijl ik wacht op een ander pakket ben ik nog steeds bezig aan Witchy. Ze begint al een stuk te vorderen en de kruissteekjes op pagina 1 zijn bijna klaar. De lucht is in halve kruissteken en gaat best snel nu... als ik niet mis tel.

While I'm waiting on another kit to arrive I'm still working on Witchy. She progresses quite good and the cross stitches on page 1 are almost finished. The sky is in tent stitch and it goes pretty fast now... if I don't miscount.

Witchy...

Ik hou van rondkijken op Etsy en Instagram en zie daar veel leuke patronen. Deze kit heb ik besteld uit Oekraïne en was perfect. Je hebt het garen, de stof, patroon en zelfs de kraaltjes. Het is wel niet zo eenvoudig meer omdat ik vooral Haeds gewend ben de laatste tijd en dit compleet iets anders.  

I love to watch around on Etsy and Instagram and I see a lot of lovely patterns there. This kit I ordered from Ukraine and was perfect. You got the threads, fabric, pattern and even the beads. It's not that easy to stitch anymore since I'm used to Haeds now and this is something completly different.

Fenestra

Ik vond het eens tijd om terug wat te tatten. Het is lang geleden en de shuttles gingen niet echt goed dus besloot ik maar om terug te gaan naar de naald, wat voor mij het makkelijkste is. Een paar dagen geleden kocht ik het Fenestra patroon in Totusmel haar Etsy winkel.

Na een paar dagen proberen maakte ik steeds opnieuw dezelfde fout. Ik raakte niet verder dan de 1ste van de 4 keer omdat ik het stuk patroon moest herhalen en ik had meer kralen dan nodig en joins te kort.

Dus vandaag contacteerde ik Mel via haar Etsy shop. Het duurde niet lang voor ik antwoord kreeg en ze hielp me supergoed met het patroon en schreef het compleet uit voor me. Het is echt een schat, dankje Mel. Eindelijk begreep ik het. Na een hele avond opnieuw te proberen lukte het, maar natuurlijk heb ik bij de laatste ringen een fout gemaakt. Morgen dus maar eens opnieuw proberen.

I found it time to start tatting again. I can't work out the shuttle, so I went back to the needle which is more familiar for me. A few days ago I bought the Fenestra pattern in Totusmel her Etsy shop and since then I was trying it out.

I kept on making the same mistake, I didn't got further than the first part of the pattern and had to repeat that piece a few times but this isn't my strongest point as a starting tatter. I had more beads than I needed to, and the wrong joins.

So today I contacted Mel and it didn't took long before I got an answer.She helped me with the pattern and wrote it out in full for me. I found this so nice, thank you Mel. Finally I found out how to do it. After a whole evening of trying I managed to finish the piece, but sadly there are mistakes in the last rings. Tomorrow I'll give it another go.

Cards of the week (3) and a gift for myself...

Deze week zijn er amper kaartjes aangekomen, eigenlijk maar eentje, maar het is wel een mooitje. En het kwam dan nog uit eigen land.

 

This week hardly any cards arrived, only one, but it's a pretty one, and it arrived from my own country.

Maar ik had ook een leuk hebbedingetje voor mezelf besteld, dat natuurlijk te maken heeft met Postcrossing. De stempels worden zelf gemaakt door Simone (Miss Honeybird) uit Nederland en verkocht in haar eigen Etsyshop. Ze maakt en verkoopt prachtige stempels, waaronder een aantal ID stempels voor Postcrossing. Gelukkig voor mij had ze ook met de BE-code en daar kon ik natuurlijk niet aan weerstaan.

 

Snel besteld, snel betaald en snel geleverd ook. En het pakketje ziet er helemaal uit als een cadeautje ook. Er zaten kaartjes bij en een aantal labeltjes, sterretjes die er uitfladderden... Echt leuk. Ik denk dat ik misschien binnenkort nog eens een paar stempels ga bestellen.

Dus ga ook zeker maar eens kijken in haar winkeltje.

 

 

But I also ordered a little must to have for myself, that offcourse had something to do with Postcrossing. The stamps are being made by Simone (Miss Honeybird) from the Netherlands and sold in her own Etsyshop. She makes and sells beautifull stamps, including some ID-stamps for Postcrossing. Luckely for me she also had one with the BE-code on it, and I really couldn't resist.

 

I ordered quick, paid quick and it's been delivered very fast aswell. And the package really looks like a little gift. She added some cards, some labels and some little stars that fluttered out... really nice. I think I might order again some time soon.

 

So thank you very much Simone, for this beautiful stamp...
