Black and brown...

Ik kon het niet laten en ben een nieuwe Haed begonnen. Eentje die vriendlief ook wel leuk zou vinden en tot nu toe gaat het wel goed. Hier zit ongeveer 2 dagen werk in, vandaag heb ik al zo'n 900 steken gezet.

 

I couldn't resist and started a new Haed. One that my hubby would appreciate too and it goes well. There is roughly two days of work in it allready, today alone I have place 900 stitches.

 

 

Voorlopig is het vooral bruin en zwart.

For now it's mostly brown and black...

Maar welke Haed ben ik aan het borduren?

Snailmail

Naast borduren heb ik ook een andere hobby, penpalling. Of gewoon ouderwets brieven schrijven met mensen. Ik heb penpals in Finland, Australië, Duitsland, Italië, Malesië en UK. Via een vriendin die vond dat ik wat foto's moest plaatsen van de enveloppen die ik versier laat ik jullie hier ook wat zien wat ik maak. Deze brief gaat vandaag de deur uit.

 

Besides stitching I also have another hobby, penpalling. Or writing letters on the oldschool way. I have penpals in Finland, Australia, Germany, Italy, Malasia and the UK. A friend told me to show some pictures with the envelopes I decorate, so I'm showing them here aswell. This letter is ready to be mailed today.

Ik versier mijn enveloppen het liefst met stempels en deco of washi tapes.

I prefer to decorate my envelopes with stamps and deco or washi tapes.

Automne

 

Ik heb een "nieuwe" designer gevonden, nou ja nieuw, ik kende deze voorheen nog niet.

 

I found a "new" designer. Well new, I didn't knew her before.

Not happy...

Ik ben niet echt tevreden en bijna pissed. Jullie herinneren jullie waarschijnlijk wel de mooie jurk die mama gemaakt heeft met Lang Yarns. Wel, daar is iets mee gebeurd.

 

I'm not happy at all and even almost pissed. I guess most of you remember my moms lovely dress she made with Lang Yarns. Well, something happened with that one.

 

 

Op het label staan de wasvoorschriften...

On the label are the washing tips...

 

 

30 graden, mag in de wasmachine, niet in de droger. Wolwasmiddel...

 

30 degrees, can go in the washing machine, not in the dryer, wool detergent...

 

Wat hebben wij gedaan? Wolprogramma van 20°, wolwasmiddel gebruikt.

 

What have we done? Woolprogram of 20°, used wool detergent...

 

 

 

 

Dit is er dus mee gebeurd. Het kwam uit de wasmachine en helemaal vervilt en goed om een kleuter aan te doen...

 

This is what happened with it. It came out of the washingmachine, completly felted and good to give to a toddler.

 

Ik ben helemaal niet blij met dit, ik had deze wol voor mama's nieuwjaar gekocht en ze heeft er niet eens geniet van gehad. Voor mij hoeft Lang Yarns niet meer...

 

I'm not happy with this at all, I had bought this wool for my mum's New Years and she couldn't even enjoy it. For me Lang Yarns is out...

 



Fly on the wings...

Mijn Autumn Fairy heeft haar vleugels en ook al een heel stuk van de rok onderaan, dus ze kan wegvliegen. Hopelijk vliegt ze niet weg voor ik haar klaar heb...

 

My Autumn Fairy has her wings and also a big part of her skirt at the bottom, so she can fly away. I hope she doesn't fly out before I finished her...

never ever...

Laat nooit, maar dan ook nooit je stempel kussens op je bureau staan als je een kat in huis hebt. Ze staan er al weken, omdat ze openvallen in de schuif, maar laat Nelle effe haar zin doen, en dan krijg je dit.

 

Never, but never ever keep your ink cushions on your desk if you have cat in the house. They are there for weeks now, because they open in the cabinet if they trip over, but when Nelle is full of tricks, you get this.

 

 

 

Lang ago...

Een hele tijd geleden dat ik nog iets van m'n Autumn Fairy geplaatst heb, maar het goede nieuws is dat ik er terug aan bezig ben.
