Santa's gift...

De dingetjes die ik hier de afgelopen weken getoond heb, zijn klaar en afgwerkt. Op dit moment zijn ze onderweg naar een pennevriendin in Finland samen met wat chocolade, snoepjes en andere dingen.

 

Mama heeft me moeten helpen bij de afwerking van sommige dingen, omdat ik niet met een naaimachine kan werken. Misschien wordt het tijd om dat toch eens te leren.

 

The things that I place here the last few weeks are finished. At this moment they are on the way to my penpal in Finland, together with candy, chocolates and other things.

 

My mom had to help with the finishing of some things, because I can't work with a sewingmachine. Maybe it's time to learn it.

Nelle moest natuurlijk helpen stof kiezen.

Offcourse Nelle had to help choose fabric.

 

En helpen met naaien en op de naaispullen liggen zodat we niet verder konden. Mama is stof aan het afmeten...

And offcourse helping with sewing and draping herself over the sewingstuff so we couldn't work further. Mom is measuring fabric...

Piggies and other things

Al ben ik wel een beetje te oud om nog in Sinterklaas te geloven, toch is hij nog langsgeweest.

 

I'm a little bit much too old to still believe in Saint Nicolas, but he still left something for me.

Ook op borduurvlak ben ik aan iets bezig. Weer iets vrij kleins, maar daarom niet minder mooi.

 

I'm also stitching something new again. Again a fairly small piece, but not less beautiful than a big one.

Dove

Met vilt en borduurgaren heb ik kleine kerstornamentjes gemaakt.

 

With felt and floss I made these little doves to hang up in a tree.

 

Bit too small...

Het is een beetje klein om zelf aan te trekken maar dit is wat er van het andere kleine borduurwerkje te zien is. Ik moet het nog afwerken met een stofje en een lintje.

It's a bit too small to put it on myself, but this is how the small embroidery from last time turned out. I still need to finish it with some fabric and some ribbon.

More little stitches...

Vandaag heb ik het kerstkaartje afgeborduurd, morgen werk ik het verder af. Maar ik kon niet wachten en ben met iets nieuws begonnen. Een restje stof uit de pakketjes van Polstitches, wat restjes garen... kan je het raden wat dit wordt?

De stof is wel groener in het echt...

 

 

This evening I finished the little stitch from last time. Tomorrow I'm going to put the card together. But I couldn't wait to start something new. Again a small stitch. Some leftover fabric from Polstitches, leftover threads and this is what I have allready. Can you guess what it will become?

The fabric is actually more green in real...

A little stitch...

Een klein borduurtje waar ik aan bezig ben... een kerstkaartje. Niet zo een heel klassiek kaartje maar ik vind het wel leuk worden.

 

A little stitch I'm making... a christmascard. It's not a very classic one but I like it.

 

 

Little gift...

In het weekend ga ik meestal een dagje borduren bij mama en vandaag heb ik op een tweetal uurtjes dit gemaakt. De steeltjes en de pareltjes heb ik er met de vrije hand opgezet, niet volgens het patroontje dus omdat ik niet zo goed ben in stiksteken te volgen.

 

In the weekend I always go at my moms to stitch a day and today, on 2 hours or a little more, I stitched this. The beads and the lavender are done with the free hand, I haven't followed those on the pattern as I'm not so good at following backstitch.

 

 

 

 

 

Het is een cadeautje voor mama en ze heeft het zien vorderen terwijl ik er aan bezig was.

 

It's a little gift for my mom, so she has seen me stitching it.

 

 

Het is een gratis patroontje van Maja van The Snowflower Diaries. Ik heb het ook niet geborduurd met de originele draden en pareltjes die op het patroon stonden omdat ik de juiste kleuren niet had. Het zijn wel garens van Nina :)

It's a free pattern made by Maja of The Snowflower Diaries. I didn't stitch it with the same colours that she has designed it with, because I didn't had the colours at home, but it are Nina's threads.

It's stitched on linnen.

 

 

Origineel is het gemaakt als een geurkussentje, maar ik wou er wat anders mee doen. Ik heb ingekaderd in een lijstje van de Ikea samen met wat gedroogde lavendel.

 

Originally it's a lavender sachet, but I wanted to do something else with it. I framed it in a frame from Ikea with some dried lavender.
