Heaven and Earth Designs

Velen van jullie kennen Heaven and Earth Designs, maar ik vermoed lang niet iedereen. Ze maken prachtige fantasy patronen, maar je kan er ook andere patronen vinden. Zelf ben ik bezig aan 2 Haeds op het moment. The Witching Hour van Lisa Parker, en Bottom of the Garden van Amy Brown.

 

Many of you know Heaven and Earth Designs, but I think there are still people who don't know about them. They make beautiful fantasy patterns, but you can also find other patterns. I'm working on 2 haeds atm, and that is The Witching Hour by Lisa Parker and Bottom of the Garden by Amy Brown.

 

 

 

Nu is er veel vraag naar wat de verschillende patronen bij Haed zijn, dus laat ik dat maar even uitleggen.

 

Now I get a lot of questions about the different kinds of patterns with Haed, so I'll explain these for a moment.

 

 

Gewone patronen/regular patterns.

 

Deze patronen zijn de gewone standaard patronen, met vaak heel veel kleuren of net niet met wit/zwarte patronen.

 

These patterns are the regular patterns, with a lot of colors or not with the black and whites ones.

 

 

 

Minis

 

Dan heb je de mini's, deze zijn kleiner, gebruiken minder of andere kleuren. De afbeelding is het zelfde, maar omdat ze kleiner zijn, met minder steekjes minder gedetailleerd.

 

Then you have the mini's, these are smaller, use a little less or different colours. The image is the same but because they are smaller, with less stitches, they are less detailled.

Je ziet het verschil in beide foto's, vooral aan het wiel, het lichtje aan de wagen en de trap moet het je zeker opvallen. Foto 1 toont ook een stukje donkerder dan foto 2/

 

You see the differences in both pictures, especially at the wheel, the light on the wagon and on the stairs it's very clear. Foto 2 toont ook een stukje donkerder dan foto 2.

 

 

Supersize

 

Helemaal nieuw bij haed zijn ook de supersizes, oftwel de super grote patronen. Deze patronen bevatten vaak meer kleuren, hebben heel wat meer steekjes en zijn dus ook een heel stuk groter.

 

New at haed are the supersizes, or the super big patterns. These patterns have a bit more colours, lots of more stitches and in the end are a lot bigger.

 

 

Deze is de normale versie, goed voor 450 steekjes breed en 313 steekjes hoog.

This is the normal version, good for 450 stitches wide and 313 stitches high.

 

En dit is de supersize versie, 999 steekjes breed en 695 hoog.

And this is the supersize version, 999 stitches wide and 695 high.

 

De hokjes op de foto zijn nog met moeite te zien.

The stitching squares are barely seen.

 

Quickstich & Storykeep

 

Quickstitches zijn soms alleenstaande kleine patronen die niet zo heel groot zijn, maar in 90% van de gevallen wordt hier een stukje uit een normaal patroon gebruikt dat er gewoon uitgeknipt is. Dit is dus even gedetaileerd als het stuk in het originele patroon. Soms zijn ze in andere vormen gegoten zoals een cirkel of zo, maar als je het stukje in het originele patroon zou plakken moet het hetzelfde zijn.

 

Quickstitches are sometimes alone standing little patterns that aren't so big, but in 90% of the patterns it is a piece cutted out of a normal pattern. Since it's the same as in the normal pattern the piece is the same size as it would be in the normal pattern. Sometimes they are shaped in a circle, but if you would take the piece and paste in the normal pattern, it should be the same.

Storykeeps zijn nog kleinere stukken uit een patroon, en die zijn gemaakt om als boekenlegger of zo te dienen. Ook hier is het even gedetaileerd als in het gewone stuk.

 

Storykeeps are even smaller pieces from a pattern, and these are made to keep a page in a book or so. Here is the same as a quickstitch, it's as detailled as the original.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dan is er nog de manier hoe je de patronen kan kopen...

Regular/large format chart:

 

Hier koop je het formaat van patroon. Dit heeft niks te maken met de grootte van je werk, dit is enkel en alleen hoeveel steken er per patroonblad staan. Een regular format is even groot als het werk die af is bij een large format. Een regular heeft 80*98 steken per blad ongeveer, een large maar 65*80 steken per blad.

 

Hier koop je het formaat van patroon, this has nothing to do with the size of your piece, this only how many stitches there are per page. The endsize of a regular chart is the same size as a large format. Een regular heeft 80*98 steken per blad ongeveer, een large maar 65*80.

 

 

Pdf/Hard copy

 

Bij pdf krijg je een patroon dat je zelf via een link moet downloaden en uitprinten. Een hardcopy betekent dat je een uitgeprint patroon thuis gestuurd krijgt. Hier moet je wel nog verzendingskosten bij rekenen. En de kans is groot dat als je in Europa woont je ook nog eens douanekosten moet betalen.

 

With pdf you get a download link where you download and print your own pattern. A hard copy means you get a printed pattern send at home. You need to add shipping costs for this. And it's possible if you live in Europe you need to add customs fares aswell.
